Their Arizona business is solely focused on commercial and they manage a range of commercial projects in the $50m+ region.
Your new role
The Senior Estimator will become a member of the preconstruction / estimating team who are responsible for independently preparing sections of schematic, design development and construction document estimates including soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids, and scopes of work, preparing quantity survey’s, reviewing project plans and specifications for all CSI (Construction Specific Institute) categories of work. As a Senior Estimator, you will also be required to supervise the work of other junior estimators, PE’s intern / co-ops students. Finally, as a member of preconstruction / estimating team you will prepare budgets, estimate, and pre-bid packages for construction projects to be built for clients.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Project Manager will be degree educated with a Construction related degree and have prior experience working as a Senior Estimator within the Commercial Sector. Ideally you will have knowledge of bidding on complex commercial projects in the $50m+ region and have experience collating bids across all trades (civil, exterior & interior building systems, MEP, roofing etc). Finally, you must have strong experience with computer software programs used in pre-construction with particular emphasis on estimating software (e.g. MC2, On-Screen Takeoff, Paydirt, Constructware, and іSqFt).
